Her research interest is the design and evaluation of learning Environments especially with the focus on integrating technology.

She is active in the field of in-service-training (e.g. T³ - Teachers Teaching with Technology, Germany)

She is editor of a schoolbook and the journal "Mathematik lehren" in Germany.

Michel Beaudin has been using Derive to support his teaching in calculus, differential equations, complex analysis and linear algebra and his main interest is in using computer algebra for teaching mathematics to engineering students.

Michel is also involved in ACA conferences (Education session) and has been co-chair of the Int'l Derive and TI-CAS Conferences many times. Michel organized 2 international conferences at ÉTS: TIME-2004 and ACA 2009.

Her research work deals currently with the integration of the computer in the teaching and learning of geometry and she is involved in the project Cabri-géomètre, dynamic geometry software programs for plane geometry and 3D geometry, distributed across the world.

She supervised 28 PhD dissertations in the field of Maths Education.

She is a member of several Editorial Boards of International Journals in Mathematics Education.

His main research line is the application of computer algebra, specially in artificial intelligence.
